New York Blower continues to be the experts in the air-moving industry, going back to the founders of the company. Henry Mathis, Vice-President of nyb at the time, wrote an article about Fan Performance and Selection that was originally published in October, 1932 in the publication The Aerologist. Most of the content is still applicable to fans built today, showing that while some applications and industries have changed and evolved, the use of air-movement devices has remained a constant. The main changes have come from focusing on product development and design, as a way to continue to improve efficiency and meet revised AMCA product operating conditions.
